Every ritual. Every color. Every tear.
South Asian weddings are not one day — they are a world. We photograph and film Punjabi, Sikh, Hindu, Muslim, Gujarati, South Indian, and fusion celebrations with the cultural fluency your family deserves, so nothing that matters happens off-camera.
We have stood in your shoes — and behind your camera.
Knowing when the grandmother's eyes will well up, when the dhol drops, when the pheras begin — that is the difference between a photographer and the right photographer.
Sikh / Anand Karaj
The Lavan at the Gurdwara, the weight of the moment as the couple circles the Guru Granth Sahib — captured with the quiet respect it asks for.
Punjabi
Maiyan, Jaago, the dhol that shakes the floor. The loudest, most joyful days we shoot — and our favorite kind of chaos.
Hindu
The mandap, the pheras, the sindoor. Hours of ritual, every one with meaning — we know which ones you will want to relive forever.
Muslim / Nikah
The intimacy of the Nikah, the celebration of the Walima. Coverage that honors the sacred and the joyful in equal measure.
Gujarati
From the Garba that runs past midnight to the playful Saptapadi. We keep up with the energy and never miss the moment.
South Indian
Tamil, Telugu, and beyond — the Kashi Yatra, the Mangalsutra, the muhurtham timed to the minute. We plan around the clock with you.
Fusion & multicultural
Two cultures, one story. Whether it is a Sikh-Christian blend or an East-meets-West weekend, we tell both halves with equal care.
Whatever your tradition
If your celebration is not on this list, it just means we will ask the right questions first. Your rituals lead; our cameras follow.
From the first dab of haldi to the last dance.
One team across every event of the weekend — so the story holds together from beginning to end.
- 01
Maiyan & Mehndi
Turmeric, henna, and the women of the family in one room. The warm, candid start that sets the tone for the whole weekend.
- 02
Sangeet & Jaago
Choreographed dances, roasts, and the dhol in the streets. High energy, low light — exactly what 15+ years of cinema prepared us for.
- 03
The ceremony
The heart of it all. Two photographers and a cinematographer so nothing — a glance, a tear, a blessing — happens off-camera.
- 04
The reception
Grand entrances, speeches, the first dance, the after-party. We stay till the lights come up and the story is complete.
Stories we've had the honor of telling.
Questions couples ask us.
- Do you travel for South Asian weddings?
- Yes — it is a big part of what we do. We are based in San Francisco and Chicago, and we travel across the US, Canada, and worldwide. Travel is quoted clearly up front, with no surprises.
- Do you cover multi-day celebrations?
- Absolutely. Most South Asian weddings span several days, from the Maiyan and Mehndi through to the reception. Our full team scales up for multi-day coverage so every event is captured with the same care.
- Do you do both photography and cinematography?
- Yes. Lite Lens handles photography and BSB Films handles cinematography — under one roof, on the same team. Most couples book both so the photo and film tell one seamless story.
- Do you understand our specific traditions?
- We have photographed Punjabi, Sikh, Hindu, Muslim, Gujarati, South Indian, and fusion weddings. We know the moments that matter in each — and for anything new to us, we ask first so nothing is missed.
- How far in advance should we book?
- For peak-season and destination dates, six to twelve months is ideal. That said, reach out whenever — if your date is open, we will tell you straight away.
